A Note from the Business Office
Last month, Jane Wise, our missionary we support from the Democratic Republic of Congo, came to us with a need for a new motorcycle. The motorcycle they were using was on its last leg, and it was their only way of transportation between villages. From the generosity of our church, we were able to purchase a new motorcycle for Jane and her staff! Pictured here is Bwalya, her manager. His hands are clasped together which is the gesture used in the Congo when they say thank you. They are very happy that they will not have to make repairs on the motorcycle weekly in order to use it. Jane sends her thanks to First Church for this very generous gift. It will facilitate their work for years to come.

The following are ways you can give your monetary gifts to First UMC:

- E-Offering (ACH) is a safe way to have your giving directly
deducted from your checking or savings account – contact the Business Office for an authorization form.
- Direct bill payment through your own bank
- Mail in gifts to 163 E. Wheeling St., Lancaster, OH 43130 or give during our worship service.

Support Lancaster First United Methodist Church and our mission projects by shopping at Kroger! Just register your Kroger card here. Link your card to our church, with the organization code NX126. Kroger will donate a portion of all that is spent with Kroger cards associated with our church. Reminder: You must reconnect your card to our church every April.
Thrivent Choice Program: If you are a Thrivent Benefit member you have the opportunity to give to our church through their Thrivent Choice program. The Thrivent Choice program encourages their members to recommend where Thrivent Financial distributes an amount of it’s charitable grant funds. Members make this recommendation by directing Choice dollars to enrolled nonprofit organization such as First United Methodist Church. To find out if you are able to give to the church in this way, talk to your Thrivent Financial advisor.
