United Methodist Women is now United Women in Faith

United Women in Faith

United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

The United Women in Faith are involved in projects to support local and global missions such as bake sales, pecan and cheese sales, greeting cards, cookie walks, quilting, collecting Box Tops for Education and sponsoring the Sweetheart Luncheon for church members 80 years and older. Elizabeth Circle will meet on the following months: 2/15/24, 3/21/24, 4/18/24, and 5/16/24 in Room 22.

Trinity Circle will be meeting during the month of February on WEDNESDAY, February 14, in Room 22, from 12pm – 3pm. This is a change in the meeting time for Trinity Circle. We will be working on Easter cards. We will then meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 12pm – 3pm.

CALL TO PRAYER AND SELF DENIAL is observed during the months of January and February. For more than 150 years, United Women in Faith members have taken action to turn faith, hope, and love into work on behalf of women, children, and youth in every corner of the world. As an annual part of our action, United Women in Faith invites women from all over to gather locally and participate in A Call to Prayer and Self-Denial. This yearly event is a faith-filled time when we assemble with lifted hearts and hands to celebrate selfless giving for a common cause and spiritual communion with God. A Call to Prayer and Self-Denial’s 2024 offering will support the ongoing climate justice work of United Women in Faith’s National Office. We invite you to gather, pray, reflect, and put your faith into action.
