Worship Times
When You’re Ready
As we continue to plan for upcoming worship experiences at 1st UMC, we are constantly monitoring virus numbers in our community and other factors that impact what we can safely do. As numbers (hopefully!!) begin to improve in the next few months, we will begin to look at what elements we can begin to safely re-introduce.
We’ve already begun again to print a rudimentary form of our weekly bulletin/announcement pages, and we’ve increased a bit the amount of group singing and group readings we are including. We will eventually return our hymnals and Bibles to the pews, include other modes of communion, bring back communion servers and usher teams, etc.
We believe we have done a capable job of providing a safe environment for worship, and we invite you, when you’re ready and feel safe as conditions improve, to consider a return to in-person worship. Likewise, as those on our usher teams and communion serving teams feel comfortable participating again, let Clarence know you’re ready. A few ushers handing out bulletins and greeting can serve even now. We continue to pray for God’s guidance, for safety as we move toward more normalcy, and that in all things God will be glorified.
