Adult Ministries

Our Pastor’s Bible Study resume has resumed and meets at 4:00 p.m. at Crossroads Ministry Center, 2095 W. Fair Ave.!
We would love to see you each Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., where we study scriptures for the following Sunday’s worship! It’s followed by The Gathering, a small informal time of worship and study if you’d like to stay for that, as well.

We would love to have you join us!

Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Crossroads Ministry Center

We’d love to have you join us for a time of fellowship and worshipful, interactive, and relevant Bible study (with small group discussions and sharing) to help us live out our faith in our world today. Children are welcome to stay with their parents or play in the nursery.

We invite you to join us any or every week—

and bring a friend!

At a time of so much uncertainty and division, there is one prayer that promises to unite us.  Most Christians know the Lord’s Prayer by heart. We pray it often, at different times and in different settings. We remember it as the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples. But do we really understand and appreciate the meaning and power of its words, what we ask of God each time we pray it, and what it asks of us?

When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, Jesus gave them this prayer. He likely taught it to His followers often, not just one time. He never intended the Lord’s Prayer to be a museum piece, framed and placed on a mantel or in a display case. It was Jesus teaching God’s people, through His disciples, how to pray.

In our 6-week series on The Lord’s Prayer: The Meaning and Power of the Prayer Jesus Taught written by Adam Hamilton, we will explore this prayer and what it teaches us as a pattern for our own prayer life.

Sept 13- Our Father who Art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy Name

Sept 20- Whose Will be done?

Sept 27- Our Daily Bread

Oct 4- Forgive….  As We Forgive

Oct 11- And Lead Us, Not into Temptation

Oct 18- For THINE is the Kingdom, Power and Glory

We need your help! Crossroads Community is looking for a few willing servants to take turns caring for our children at Crossroads Community on Tuesday evenings, 6:15 to about 7:45 p.m. Our goal is to have several people take turns so no one is overwhelmed. If you are interested, please contact the Church, 740-653-3330. Thanks!

If you have any questions or want to learn more, please contact the Church, 740-653-3330.

Stop in the Church Library and take a look at all the books, CD’s and DVD’s available to borrow at no charge.

Here’s a few selections that we have to offer:

We spent a lot of time cleaning out old books and adding newer ones! Most materials are now color-coded by topic to make it easier to find what you are looking for. In addition to books, we have DVDs and CDs. For small group studies we have lots of books, DVDs and study guides to choose from!

Here are a few items we have:

“Won’t You Be My Neighbor” – DVD

For over 30 years, Fred Rogers, an unassuming minister, puppeteer, writer and producer, was beamed daily into homes across America. In his beloved television program, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Fred and his cast of puppets and friends spoke directly to young children about some of life’s weightiest issues, in a simple, direct fashion. There hadn’t been anything like Mr. Rogers on television before and there hasn’t been since.

“Chasing Vines” – Beth Moore

Join bestselling author Beth Moore in her life-changing quest of vine-chasing–and learn how everything changes when you discover the true meaning of a fruitful, God-pleasing, meaning-filled life

“God Is With You Every Day” – Max Lucado

This 365-day devotional begins each week with a prayer and scripture, followed by six days of devotions and scripture for reflection

“Decades”- The Martins CD

The Martins have been a Christian music favorite for years. This DOVE Award-winning, Grammy-nominated trio is known for its impeccable harmony and diverse musical abilities. DECADES captures, for the first time, many of the group’s hits, concert and fan favorites and previously unreleased recordings from the past 10 years on one highly anticipated cd collection.
